With a passion for storytelling and over a hundred stage shows under her belt, Rebecca Turmel originally intended to pursue a career in musical theatre. However, her path quickly changed when she taught herself to play the guitar. She found a much deeper connection with pairing her emotive vocals and six strings to tell her stories. Rebecca’s musical journey began performing at local open mics, which soon turned into a full schedule of professional gigs and led her to quit her day job to become a full-time musician in 2020.
